What an amazing trip! Although it was just another weekend in Spain, this time we experienced something special! There was a lot of running, there was a huge surprise, and also a few tears. Fortunately, as always, we managed to get through it and experienced something truly beautiful.
Let's start with the fact that this trip was an excellent test of the new camera, which, among other things, has an additional GPS module that allows for adding speed and distance to the photos. Unfortunately, the GPS module failed after just 40 minutes. I managed to record only a few minutes of video and one photo.
But who really cares? Probably no one. So let's return to the trip itself.
We landed safely at the airport in Malaga, went through security and ... LET'S GO! We're running to the train! The train station is right next to the airport, but the airport is huge. We had 15 minutes and still had to buy tickets! Fortunately, it was in the app. Unfortunately, I didn't know how to do it! Luckily, Aneta knew.
We were lucky again when it turned out that the gates to the platform were open and we could buy tickets while already on the platform. The most important thing is that we made it, and we even had about a minute to spare! But there's not much more to say, just watch the video below. It's just a raw recording from a head camera, but it perfectly captures the atmosphere of those moments..
Upon leaving the train, we still had to get through the exit gates, and since we hadn't scanned our tickets on entry, we couldn't leave! Fortunately, the staff helped us, and we made it out into the city.
Literally a minute later, someone called us. It was Kama, Daniel, and little Misia - friends of Kuba and Aneta who had flown in from Poland. We all knew they would be there. Everyone except Kuba, for whom it was meant to be a surprise. Look at his face!
Thanks to the fact that we made it to this train, we also managed to get to Mercadona, and we could do some small shopping. We literally walked into the shop just 5 minutes before closing!
Kuba was in shock the whole time
Loaded with wine and other Spanish delicacies, we went to collect the keys to our rooms. We were staying in two different locations, but we were only separated by a wall. Our little rooms were small, but they had everything we needed! Comfortable beds, a toilet, WIFI, and a beautiful view from the balcony!
We unpacked and went to the beach to enjoy the Spanish sun have a drink of wine on the beach!
We partied for so long that little Misia fell asleep and Kuba had to carry her home. What a hero!
We moved the party to one of the terraces and when the wine ran out, we went to sleep.
The night passed quickly!
In the morning, we quickly gathered and went for breakfast. It was also the first opportunity to test the new camera in the rays of the Spanish sun.
We chose a small place, right by the promenade.
We had a view of the sea with Kuba! Unfortunately, we were sitting in full sun, which was later clearly visible when looking at our faces. Especially mine!
The face in the photo above is not mine. It's Misia.
After breakfast, we went to do what little tigers love the most! Collecting shells on the beach!
and
Daniel decided to go swimming
Misia quickly joined him
The rest were sitting on the beach and soaking up the sun
And in such a pastoral atmosphere, this day passed for us. Until suddenly... but let's start from the beginning:
Daniel and his family flew directly from Poland, but they were supposed to return with a layover in London. And everything would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that... they didn't take their passports! Daniel still had in mind pre-Brexit Britain, when passports weren't needed. Besides, maybe Daniel should tell the story himself.
To say that the atmosphere has dropped is to say nothing at all.
It all started with a lot of brainstorming. What now? Can they enter the UK just with an ID, since they don't even want to leave the airport? We even tried to contact the Polish embassy in Madrid, but they work from Monday to Friday from 9 to 9:12...
We were so tired from all that thinking that we went down the narrow streets to grab something to eat.
This time we chose a trusted place where you can order delicious tapas.
And do you know who eats tapas? ?
Greedy! This joke only makes sense in Polish. Lol
On the way back, we suddenly found ourselves in a place where the trees were green with... parrots! They were making such a noise!
While the above film can be considered a test of the microphone attached to the camera, the one below is definitely a test of the image. It got dark. We strolled along the famous Calle San Miguel - the shopping promenade. In the above film, you can see how all the lights flicker strangely. I had the frame rate set incorrectly. I managed to reduce that in the film below. However, I used stabilisation, which slightly distorted the image....
This promenade is a famous healing place
We popped into the shop with funny t-shirts for a little shopping
And so the day was drawing to a close. On one of the rooftops, we organised a farewell party combined with another brainstorming session. We were supported by our favourite wines.!
Daniel and Kama joined us after a while.
I then another night has passed...
The next day, early in the morning, Kama, Daniel, and Misia went to the airport. Our group of five went for breakfast at the friendly MG Jamon and Granier. We had been here during each of our visits to Terromolinos.
After breakfast, we went to play with the kittens!
We also took the last photos by the sea.
We returned to the hotel, picked up our backpacks, and were ready to head to the airport. However, before that happened, Ancia decided to move to Italy! How come?
The owner of the hotel we stayed in was Italian. Downstairs, he runs a small restaurant where he sells... but let Ancia tell you about it herself.
Although we had to return, we were in excellent spirits. At first, we went slowly and unhurriedly, only speeding up when we reached the station, and we took the train back to the airport. TVN Style recorded a piece on this topic.
As part of the preparations for the next trip, we hid plastic cups and a corkscrew near the airport.
We returned home safely and without any problems. And that was our February trip to Spain! Be sure to let us know which format of this blog is better! Longer posts like this one, or short photo-based updates? What should we choose? How to find the golden mean?
