Our favourite place in Spain. And we're back again! This time with an expanded team!
This trip was also different from usual. This time we rented a car to drive around the area and do some sightseeing..
Hiring this car cost us a lot of time and nerves, mainly due to... our oversight when searching for offers. The rental company we chose is not located at the airport but about a kilometre away from it. To get there, you need to take a special bus. Unfortunately, the airport in Malaga is not very well signposted, and we had some trouble locating the bus stop. However, it was worth losing a bit of time and nerves because we were able to explore more than usual..
About Teleferico Benalmádena and Castillo de Colomares there are separate articles that I encourage you to read.
Here we will focus on exploring Torremolinos itself. The day we started early in the morning greeted us with this view.:
Later, as usual: breakfast at MgJamon and Garnier, and then we were ready to go:
Stroll along the beach promenade...
.. combined with the already traditional petting of cats...
...he led us through the narrow streets to the city centre.
And here is our favourite greengrocer
For lunch, we stopped at a small restaurant for locals. Just the way we like it best.
And although it is usually a very good idea, this time we were a bit disappointed. The food was good but not impressive..
Some consolation may be the very nice interaction with the elderly gentleman at the next table, who at the end really wanted to take a photo with us.
On that day, although it was the end of November, it was almost 19 degrees
... so what better could we do than...
... spend the rest of the day at the beach!
At the end of the day, we went for some small grocery shopping.
to make myself dinner in the evening using only local products
And this is how we spend our time during these short trips of ours! We can't wait for the next trip!
A humorous touch that we found during this trip was the advertising board of one of the restaurants
