Auzillac is a small village located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Administratively, it belongs to the municipality of Châteauponsac. It is a quiet, rural area surrounded by green hills and small towns such as Rancon, Balledent, and Magnac-Laval.
This is a place called TWO HOOTS and that name fits this place perfectly!
You can forget about all your worries and sorrows, about all the problems of everyday life. It is quiet and peaceful there.
You can't say much about the village itself. Just a few houses and that's it. Zosia and I filmed this.
We can say much more about TWO HOOTS. Let's start with how we got here. We didn't receive an exact address, only some clues. In the film, you can hear us reading them and discovering the indicated places...
And the house itself looks like this on the inside:
When we finally arrived, a misfortune occurred. While Aneta and Zosia were talking to the owner, Kuba and I were unpacking the car. And as Kuba was coming in with the last packages, he hit his head on the door.
In the photo below, you can see that they are terribly low.
Kuba cut his head so badly that we needed professional help. First, together with the owner, Peter, we went to the local pharmacy, where the pharmacist suggested a visit to the hospital.
What can we do? Aneta, Kuba and I went back to Limoges, to the hospital, where Kuba had seven stitches put in his head! Aneta and Zosia stayed at home, unpacked us and made lunch.
When we returned, we could finally go to the longed-for pool!
We sat there for quite a long time, almost until evening. We talked a lot about modern art, and when it started to get dark, we went home and had a barbecue in the back garden for dinner.
The next day we decided to spend lazily. Swimming pool, sunbathing, some minor sports activities. We started with badminton. By the way, this film is the first attempt at playing with slow motion. I think it turned out well.
And so this day has flown by. Sometimes it's nice to just do nothing!
In the evening, we had a barbecue again, talked a lot, and laughed. Holidays!
Third - the last day - we started with breakfast outside. Isn't it beautiful there?
And after breakfast, back to the little pool.
We also went "into town" with Zosia - the film is at the top of the page. www.youtube.com/embed/uKUiGiRguug
Around 1 PM we went for frog legs and snails - more here
On the way back, we recorded this video - it is here just to make you realise where Auzillac is. NOWHERE!
Returning to the cottage - we found the guestbook. We signed it.
Zosia wanted our entry to be special. So she drew us:
And this is how our entry looked like
We visited France for the second time, but it is certainly not our last!
