The Yew Tree Inn in Cauldon is an extraordinary pub full of antiques, musical machines, vintage motorcycles, and other curiosities. It is family-run and offers traditional food. We stopped by the pub during one of our trips.
The pub is located at 3 Church Lane, Cauldon Low, ST10 3EJ, and guests are welcomed not only by the owners but also by a dog named Maude and a tortoise named Colin.
The interior of the pub resembles a true Aladdin's Cave, where you can find extraordinary items, such as the stockings of Queen Victoria,
A 3000-year-old Greek urn, Penny Farthing and Bone Shaker bicycles, and the famous Acme Dog Carrier. There is also a collection of old musical instruments, including an antique Serpent.
The pub is a popular meeting place for vintage car and motorcycle clubs, and it also hosts traditional pub games such as darts, skittles, and shove ha'penny. There are no televisions or sports broadcasts here – it is a place that celebrates the classic pub atmosphere.
