Neuschwanstein Castle is a stunning, 19th-century palace located in Bavaria, Germany. Built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, it stands on a steep hill at the foot of the Alps, near the town of Füssen. The castle was designed as a retreat for the king and a tribute to the composer Richard Wagner, whom Ludwig greatly admired..

Many of the photos are of low quality due to the fact that cameras/phones are not allowed in the castle. Most of them were taken secretly..

Construction began in 1869, but the castle was never fully completed due to Ludwig's premature death in 1886..

Despite this, Neuschwanstein has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, attracting over 1.3 million visitors each year.

The architecture of the castle is a beautiful combination of the neo-Romanesque style with richly decorated interiors inspired by Wagner's operas. From the Singers' Hall to the Throne Room, each space is adorned with intricate decorations and modern technologies for the time, such as automatic toilet flushing and an air heating system..

The fairytale appearance of Neuschwanstein and its picturesque location have also made it an inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Whether you are a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a magical experience, Neuschwanstein Castle is a place that must be visited..
