The Bois Chéri tea plantation, located in the lush highlands of Mauritius, is the oldest tea plantation on the island, dating back to 1892. This historic site offers a fascinating insight into the world of tea production and the rich tradition of tea cultivation in Mauritius.

During the visit, there is an opportunity to tour the facility, which provides employment for the local community. The unique climatic conditions and fertile highland soil are conducive to the cultivation of high-quality tea leaves. Hand-picking the leaves using traditional methods ensures that only the finest leaves are used in the production of Bois Chéri premium tea.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to see the Shiva Temple, which is located right by the lake and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most important places of worship during Maha Shivaratri.

Hanuman Temple: Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the monkey god who is a symbol of strength and devotion. This temple is popular among those seeking blessings in difficult times.
